Aratmósfera, intervenciones en el mural más grande de Leopoldo Flores

Resumen

Aratmósfera es el mural que inaugura el arte abierto de Leopoldo Flores. Fue pintado en los años setenta con la intención de contribuir al paisaje urbano de la ciudad de Toluca y dar identidad a la Ciudad Universitaria de la UAEMéx. En aquella época, la población colaboró bajo las órdenes del maestro Flores y la obra se hizo colectiva, como ahora que cumplió 50 años de creación y fue restaurada. Este breve texto aborda el significado del mural y los diversos momentos en los que ha sido intervenido.

Aratmosphere, the mural which unveils Leopoldo Flores’ outdoors art. It was painted in the seventies with the purpose of contribute to the urban landscape in Toluca City and give identity to UAEMéx Campus. At that time, the community collaborated at the behest of master Flores and the work of art was done collective, like nowadays that turned 50 creation years and it has been renovated. This brief text approaches the mural’s meaning and the diverse moments in which it has been tapped.
